The Duke of Edinburgh's Award
There are three levels, Bronze Silver and Gold, and at each level there are activities in four sections – Service, Expeditions, Skills and Physical Recreation. At Gold level there is also a Recreational Project. More details are available from the menu on the left.
What’s Going on in the Award?
New Award Flyer for the ATC. A new flyer to promote the Award in the ATC has been launched. Copies have been distributed to Wings, and you can see what it looks, and even download it from the link. LINK Leader Training. The Corps is adopting the Modular Training Framework, which has been developed by the Training Manager at Award HQ, Adrian Barker, to provide a range of training courses for Leaders to give them more competence and confidence in running the Award at Squadrons. Details of courses planned will be published on Bader’s SharePoint pages, and more details of the training on offer are available by following the link. Expedition Assessor Accreditation. The Award is introducing a new Expedition Assessor Accreditation Scheme. This will extend the current scheme, which is only for Wild Country, to Bronze and Silver Assessors. There is training available, and the intention is that eventually all those who wish to assess expeditions will need to be accredited. This is still some way off. Details of how to access the training are on the link. |
