AIR TATTOO OFFERS AIR CADETS SPECIAL DEAL

Uniformed Air Cadets aged 16 and over are being offered the opportunity to attend this year’s Royal International Air Tattoo free of charge.

As a reflection of their commitment to support the Air Cadet Organisation, the Royal Air Force Charitable Trust Enterprises (RAFCTE) is offering older cadets in uniform free entry to RIAT. Currently all under-16s who are accompanied by an adult ticket holder are allowed free entry. Now, uniformed Air Cadets aged 16 and over, who are accompanied by an ATC adult ticker holder, will also get in free. Because of a change in ticketing policy, however, the special offer will only apply on Sunday 13 July.

Any uniformed Air Cadet aged 16 and over who wishes to attend on the Sunday with their parents or other ticket-holding adults (other than an adult ATC member), must submit a request for free tickets (one per family) to fhwrk3@rafcte.com or to RIAT, PO Box 1940, Fairford, Gloucestershire GL7 4NA by Friday, July 4. Only 200 of these tickets are available so hurry!

Fred Crawley, Chairman of the Royal Air Force Charitable Trust Enterprises, said: “Although strong links between the Air Cadet Organisation and the Air Tattoo have existed for many years, the generous support our parent Trust has provided to a wide range of Air Cadet initiatives during the past three years has taken our relationship to a different level. We hope that our decision to allow such a large number of uniformed Air Cadets to come to the Air Tattoo on Sunday free of charge will enable cadets that are not part of our formal detachment to enjoy this summer’s airshow.”

The Royal International Air Tattoo is staged annually in support of the Royal Air Force Charitable Trust. This summer’s event will include official celebrations to mark the RAF’s 90 th anniversary. For more details, visit www.airtattoo.com
